Recruitment coming up
Much is going on at the very moment in AIESEC in Innsbruck. Recruitment is coming up very soon and the EB (Executive Board) is working a lot to organise and coordinate everything.
Honestly speaking, it's not that easy to communicate as 2 EB members are doing an internship in Frankfurt, Germany, 1 is doing a CEED (AIESEC internal internship in another Local Committee in another country) in Goteborg, Sweden.
Thanks to the internet and skype we finally managed to agree on the data for Lecture Presentations, Info Stands, Info Evenings, Assessment Centre etc. That was quite a bit of work :-)
A busy time is coming up - AIESEC in Innsbruck is prepared, finally.
Stay tuned for updates after LCEM (the Local Committees Executives Meeting; an AIESEC Conference for the Executive Boards of the 4 Austrian Local Committees).
Random Pictures
As Olo complained, here are some random pictures *g* Please re-read as well the old reports as I uploaded pictures as well.

Shock
Coming back to Austria I was shocked. When I left Istanbul it had about 28 °C. When I got up in the morning, I was sweating. After having a shower, I was sweating. During the day.... I was sweating. In the evening.... you name it.
When I got up today in the morning, it had about 8 °C and I could see snow on the peak of the mountains!!!
Study tour or no study tour - that's the question

IC is over. And in the end I found another thing to complain about *yippiiii*
When I subscribed for IC, I had the chance to as well subscribe for a post-IC studytour (31.08. + 01.09.). Of course I wanted to use the chance to see more of the country, either going to Cappadocia or choosing the Blue Aegeon tour. Finally I've chosen the blue Aegeon Tour, including a trip to Ephesus, Virgin Mary's house, an ancient theater etc etc.

During the whole conference it was said that we should contact the responsible of the study tour for further details. I tried 4 days long and guess what ... the person was never there. And it's even becoming better. At the last day of IC they told us in the closing plenary that one of the study tours was cancelled because of to few interest. We should contact the responsible to get more information. ..... I would smile about it if I could. Not knowing if my tour will take place or not, I was looking for that person for 2 hours, running around like crazy. When I finally found him, he told me that both study tours were cancelled. Instead he wanted me to go to another study tour (which would have lasted from the 01.09. - 02.09.). Well, that didn't suit me at all. I had already booked my youth hostel from 01.09. - 04.09. and didn't want to loose one of those days that I was paying for. In addition: I didn't have a bed for the 31.08.!!! And what finally

made me decide against it was that the only objective of the tour was to party around the Black Sea. Guess what: I had 10 days/nights of party at IC, wanted to relax and then they wanted me to go on a 2 days part while I wanted to do some sight-seeing.
Well, so what. I decided not to go to any study tour but to join the rest of the Austrian delegation in Istanbul (what I would have done anyway but not before the 2nd of September). I was lucky to find a youth hostel that had still a room free (while many were already packed with AIESECers :-) and we had a nice time in Istanbul. As I already knew all the sights from my last year's trip to Istanbul, I kind of acted as the guide, explaining some things ...
Today is my last day in Turkey, my plane will leave at 17h15 and I'm already looking forward going back to Austria. Peter left 2 days ago, Matthias left yesterday, so today it's just Vlad, Bene and me who are left. As said before I'm looking forward going back to Austria. What I really missed here was orange juice. Normally I have orange juice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Over here, only water or black tea was served. Damned... I can't stand water. It just doesn't have any taste *g*
Looking forward to see all of you asap.
AIESEC Ying Yang (Party and Work)

Can you remember my article about day 7, or better said the WENA party afterwards? Unfortunately I just stayed until 3 a.m. As I've heard later on, I missed all the action :-) Around 2h30 it suddently started to rain. As it was a WENA party, of course no-one was disturbed by that. The party went on, just the Congress Committee kind of felt unhappy as the rain was about to destroy their electronical equipment (laptop, speakers etc :-) As they stopped the music, party people moved to the area around the fountain (see the pictures from my first day at IC) and started dancing around it in the rain. What an enthousiams (or could the alcohol have had a certain influence?? :-) Well, that was the time when I more or less voluntarily left the party, going to sleep. As said before I obviously missed the action as I've been told at the next day that later on people totally freaked out, having sex in the fountain!!

And that's not just it. Rumours said that around 50 girls tried to storm the boy's dormitories (you need to know that boys's and girls's dormitories were strictly seperated so that any sexual or whatever action could appear *g* Well.. didn't work out that well).
But of course we are not just partying as Olo assumed in his comment. At the legislation part of the conference our brave MCP Bene had to pass 107 motions before he could go to bed. Starting at 22h00 in the evening after the normal programe, legislation lasted till 06h40 in the morning!!!! No-one can say that we don't work hard in AIESEC.
